Abe Coleman

(1905 - 2007)

Abe Coleman was a polish-born Jewish immigrant wrestler. His nicknames include “Hebrew Hercules” and “Jewish Tarzan”. At only 5’3”, Coleman was short but weighed 200 pounds. He was known for being very strong and for his trademark dropkick, which he claimed he learned in Australia watching kangaroos. He fought in over 2,000 matches but was never a champion. After his career was over, he became a wrestling referee and worked at the DMV. At the time of his death in 2007 he was believed to be the oldest wrestler in the world.
