BAKI (Heb. בָּקִי; "expert"), person possessing expertise in a particular field of ritual law, e.g., in divorce law ("Baki be-tiv Gittin") or in dietary laws ("Baki bi-terefot"); also a person well versed in Talmud and rabbinic literature is called "Baki be-Shas u-Fosekim."
