Eisenhower's Initial Response to Truman Letter Regarding Harrison Report

(September 14, 1945)

This telegram from Eisenhower is a response to President Truman’s letter expressing concern about displaced Jews in Europe following his receipt of the Harrison Report. Eisenhower says he will inspect Jewish displaced persons camps and report back. His subsequent report was sent to the president on October 8, 1945.
