Yaakov-Sika Aharoni
(1921 - ?)
Born February 21, 1921 in Jerusalem. Joined Betar and
the Irgun in 1938 and took part in operations against Arab rioters which
broke the havlaga (self-restraint policy).
Accompanied David Raziel on a mission on behalf of the British army to Iraq, where Raziel was killed.
Participated in operations against
the British authorities in Palestine: the first attack on
the central British Intelligence in Jerusalem, the
raid on the District Police station in Jerusalem, the attack on Beit
Dagon police station on Yom Kippur, 27 September 1944 (commanded the operation) etc.
Arrested several times by the British and jailed in
Jerusalem and Acre. Exiled
to Africa and returned with the last exiles from Kenya on July 12,
1948, after the establishment of the State of Israel.
