Gal Alberman
(1983 - )
Alberman is a young, talented soccer player, who
at 20 years old started playing for the Maccabi Petah Tikva team. However,
he did not spend much time there, and in November, 2002 head coach Avraham
Grant called him up to the Israeli National team .
Alberman made sparse appearances for Maccabi Petah Tikva during the
2000-01 and 2001-02 campaigns, though the organization was aware of
his promise. In 2002-03, he made two goals and added three assists.
Alberman's performance helped Maccabi achieve a suprisingly high sixth
place finish ahead of teams with a budget twice their size. On the national
team, Alberman was a starter for Israel against Macedonia on November
20, 2002, and was involved in two goals in the 3-2 win. At such a young
age, his potential is enormous and he tackles challenges and takes chances.
