Museums in Jerusalem: The Greek Orthodox Museum

The Greek Orthodox Museum is located in the Christian Quarter of the Old City. One may only see the museum by first making an appointment. The Greek Orthodox Church of Jerusalem is viewed as the “Mother Church,” according to Greek Orthodox Christianity.

The Greek Orthodox Church in Jerusalem is considered holy because, according to the gospel, Jerusalem is the place where the spirit of Jesus Christ descended upon the disciples. It is the place where Christianity was born.

The museum itself is located near other holy Christian sites such as the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. The Greek Orthodox Museum also contains many artifacts from the period of King Hordus.

The museum is located in the Christian Quarter of the Old City.
There is an entrance fee for the museum.
