UN General Assembly Resolutions: Resolution 31/110

(December 16, 1976)

The General Assembly

Recalling the Vancouver Declaration on Human Settlements, 1976 1/ and the recommendations for national action 2/ adopted by Habitat: United Nations Conference on Human Settlements, held at Vancouver from 31 May to 11 June 1976,

Recalling also resolution 3 of the Conference 3/ on living conditions of the Palestinians in occupied territories, and Economic and Social Council resolution 2026 (LXI) of 4 August 1976,

Recalling further the recommendation adopted at the Regional Preparatory Conference for Asia and the Pacific, held at Teheran from 14 to 19 June 1975,

1. Requests the Secretary-General, in collaboration with the relevant United Nations organs and specialized agencies, to prepare and submit to the General Assembly at its thirty-second session a report on the living conditions of the Palestinian people in the occupied territories;

2. Requests the Secretary-General, in preparing the above-mentioned report, to consult and cooperate with the Palestine Liberation Organization, the representative of the Palestinian people;

3. Urges all States to cooperate with the Secretary-General in this matter.
