Completion of redeployment of IDF forces in the northern West Bank

As of tonight, September 20th, 2005, IDF forces have completed their redeployment in the northern West Bank.

Following the completion of the evacuation of civilian and army infrastructure from the four communities in the northern West Bank, IDF forces finished their permanent presence in the area of the evacuated communities.

Tonight, IDF forces exited the evacuated communities of Ganim and Kadim, last night IDF forces exited the area of the evacuated community ofSa-Nur and on Friday, September 16th, 2005, IDF forces exited the area of the evacuated community of Hommesh.

According to the decision of the Political Echelon, the area of the evacuated communities is defined as "Area C".

As well, in accordance with the "Implementation of the Disengagement Plan 2005" law and the order of implementation of the Disengagement Plan given by the GOC Central Command, Maj. Gen. Yair Naveh, in order to implement the law in the northern West Bank region, the entrance of Israeli citizens into the areas of the evacuated communities is forbidden until further notice.
