Museums in Israel: Old Yishuv Court Museum

The Old Yishuv Court Museum depicts the period decor and aspects of daily life in the Jewish Quarter from the mid-19th century to the end of the Ottoman rule just after World War I. The Museum is housed in the remains of two former synagogues in the Old City – the 16th century HaAri Synagogue, named after the Kabbalist Rabbi Isaac Luria, and the 19th century Or HaHayim Synagogue, one of Jerusalem’s main Ashkenazi-style synagogue from 1812 until Jerusalem was captured by the Jordanians in 1948.

The museum is located on 6 Or Chaim Street, Jerusalem.
Hours of Admission are Sunday through Thursday, 9am-2pm
