McDonald Suggests US Should Speak Out Against Persecution of Jews

(July 24, 1935)

In an example of how early the problem of Nazi mistreatment of Jews was raised with the Roosevelt administration, James McDonald asks Mrs. Roosevelt in July 1935 if it is time to speak out against the German persecution of Jews as well as Catholics and Protestants.
