Presidential Medal of Freedom Recipients
The Presidential Medal of Freedom is the highest civilian award of the United States and recognizes individuals who have made "especially meritorious contributions to the security or national interests of the United States, to world peace, or to cultural or other significant public or private endeavors."
The Medal of Freedom has been awarded to hundreds of individuals over the decades. At least 37 of them have been Jewish.
