^ - A deal for the release of Shalit was announced on October 11, 2011. He was returned to Israel on October 18, 2011.
* - Goldwasser and Regev were officially pronounced KIA on July 16, 2008 when their bodies were returned to Israel.
** - Avraham, Sawad and Avitan were pronounced KIA on October 29, 2001. Their bodies were returned to Israel in January 2004.
*** - Halabi was found dead on October 11, 2012. Police continue to investigate the circumstances of his death.
